We realise we are called upon at a distressing time in your life  – when you have been arrested by the police, lost your job, been involved in an accident,having problems with tenants, or a dispute over a contract – and we only add to the crisis. At Gerard Maye Legal Limited we are sensitive to the fact that when a client comes to see us they are often anxious, angry, upset – and our aim is to provide reassurance and support as well as professional help.   We always recommend that disputes – litigation, court proceedings – are avoided if at all possible and encourage people to seek legal help at an early stage, especially as this may save time, costs and other expenses in the long run.

John Searby, our Head of Litigation, has over twenty years’ experience in advising and representing clients in all kinds of dispute – including personal injury, property claims, debt recovery, employment and commercial disputes.

We will give you expert advice about your case and will try to negotiate with your opponent, where possible, to resolve the dispute. If the case has to be decided by the Court, we have the expertise to prepare your case fully and represent you before the Judge or tribunal.

We also know that many people are now no longer eligible for public funding (legal aid) but are anxious about the cost of dispute resolution.   We will give you an accurate estimate of the likely costs involved and in may cases can agree a fixed cost for the work.  We believe we are very competitive in our fees.  We may also be able to act for you on a conditional fee (or ‘no win no fee’) basis.
